Meet your Florists
Jon
Hello, I’m Jon, the one in the white shirt. I have spent 10 years planning and executing events at the University of Kentucky. First for the College of Agriculture and currently for the College of Engineering. Everything from a simple luncheon or award ceremony, to gala’s and multiple trips abroad. It takes so much attention to detail, something I truly enjoy.
I also co-own the HCA Gems, an all-star competitive cheer program here in Cynthiana, with my wife Sam. Together we have two awesome boys, Fitz and Myles. We also have a dog named Tucker and a cat named Oreo.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, and digital design.
Stephen
Hello, I’m Stephen, in the pink shirt. The older twin, by about 1 minute. I have worked in some form of customer service since I was 16. I currently work full time as the Director of Hospitality at Mustard Seed Hill, a venue in Millersburg, KY. We host weddings as well as private and community events, offer overnight accommodations, and work to revitalize the community of Millersburg. We are becoming known state wide for the annual Christmas event that we put on each year, as well as our first class overnight accommodations.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, watching a good show or movie, reading a good book, going to as many concerts as I can, traveling when I’m able to, gathering with my family, and hanging out with my rescue dog, Bentley.
Our Name
The ‘Twin’ part is pretty simple. We are indeed twins. Fun fact: only fraternal. Yes, for real! The genes are strong around here.
The ‘Oaks’ part runs a bit deeper. Our family has been on White Oak Road in Harrison County since the early 1800’s. We grew up on White Oak Tricum Pike with our siblings. Our Dad and his brothers grew up on a dairy farm on White Oak. Our Grandmother, who was a Williams, and descendent of the Perraut family, spent many years on White Oak.
Bringing the two together, ‘Twin Oaks Floral’, is the perfect representation of us.
